What is

Certified translation for immigration purposes: official documents valid in Spain

A sworn translation for immigration purposes is the official translation of a foreign document, signed and stamped by a sworn translator authorised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAEC), which gives it full legal validity before Spanish public bodies.

This is the standard requirement when submitting documents in another language for applications relating to residence permits, citizenship, visas, right of residence, family reunification or the EU family member card. At Trayma, we provide this service in all languages, for individuals, solicitors, administrative agencies and companies.

Before providing a quote, we review your documents, assign the project to a specialist sworn translator and carry out a final quality check on terminology, proper names, dates and formatting, to ensure your translation is accepted without any issues at the counter.
